Daniela Vlad

Daniela Vlad’s aesthetics are pure and true to nature. Daniela grew up in picturesque Bucharest nurtured by its grand heritage and rich folklore, and by watching and learning from her mother and grandmother as they wove fabrics and created clothes, first on looms of their own making and then in the creation of designer collections for which Romanians became rightly renowned in the early 1980s. Needle, thread and the sewing machine, whose magical creations enchanted her, were constant companions.

An opportunity to live abroad enabled Daniela to continue her education and in America Daniela completed her formal education as a fashion designer. Taking the deep appreciation and understanding of fabrics, pattern-making and construction only achieved by those raised and seeped from childhood in a house of fashion, she began to create designs expressing her journey and bold winged adventure.

Daniela’s design aesthetic emerged radically transformed first by the heat of war, and second when she found new love and began one the most significant journeys a fashion designer takes that short journey of half a meter from head to heart. When triggered by love fashion can find its depth and expression. When triggered by love a fashion designer turns into a star. Daniela’s explorations of love gave birth to an explosion of color, to a style both pure and tantalizing. After a string of successful and critically received fashion shows, Daniela opened her fashion design studio.
